My name is John and I have a friend by the name of Tony Burdette. Tony is currently homeless and has been staying at Gateway. His only mode of transportation and income came from a moped that he would pick up small jobs doing deliveries on. He called me today and told me someone had stolen his moped.

I would like to fix this situation by finding and buying him a new moped so that he can get back to work and start smiling again.

I'm asking that if you or anyone you know would be interested in donating any money to help me pay for a new/used moped for Tony that would be a lot of help. Or better yet if you or anyone you know would be willing to donate a working moped to the cause that would be even better.

Hi - I am recently recuperating from kidney stones and a kidney infection and am also out of work due to being laid-off March 1st. I am a large man who needs to keep active - but can't risk walking too far from home due to some other medical issues as well as nausea and other "fun" side effects of my meds. I've been wanting to keep active and loose weight to help improve my health, reduce the chance of blood clots (which i've already had once - so I am susceptible to them again) and regain energy and strength. I can not afford to buy one or join a gym, so I am hoping that someone out there may have a treadmill or stationary bike just lying around who wouldn't mind donating it to a worthy cause. The Details:
We are looking for tutors to help with the After School Enrichment Academy at Coan Middle School in Edgewood on Mondays and Thursdays from 4:00-6:00 pm for the next two weeks. The program is geared towards getting the students ready to take the CRCT test. The primary areas that will be emphasized are Math, Reading, and Language Arts. There will be one break-out group working on Science. Tutors will need to arrive at 3:30 pm on the first day for orientation. The school is also putting a mentor program into place and could use a few more male mentors. If interested please contact me.
