I have 2 rooms available in a large older but quirky house I have been renting in Old 4th Ward for the last 4 years. I've had some trouble finding decent housemates lately and am looking for honest responsible people with integrity.

The house is old and has "character" but I like living here and my neighbors. I am an artist and musician so I am hoping to find like minded people, students or just decent people needing to rent a room.

Ideally I'd like to rent to one individual who would be able to pay at least $500 a month for the two rooms. This includes utilities, access to the common areas of the house, laundry room, sitting/reading room, cable and internet. Both rooms are across from each other and the end of the house with central heat and air. One room does have a window ac unit as well. Otherwise, it would be $425 and $450 for each room (one is slightly larger) to help accommodate increased utilities with additional people.

I do have 2 well behaved and affectionate cats, but can not take in additional animals and that has not worked in the past.
