UPDATE ON MICHELLE TROJANOWSKI | JAN. 27TH
For the past few Sundays our church family sat in great uncertainty with regard to the health and safety of Michelle Trojanowski. Michelle is a beloved member and leader here at Trinity who has been missing since Friday, January 13th on Mount Rainier in Washington when she and a friend set out for a three day camping excursion. Heavy weather frustrated rescue efforts on the mountain in the days after her disappearance. On Monday (Jan. 23rd) there was a break in the weather which enabled search and rescue teams to scour Mount Rainier looking for Michelle, her friend, and two other overdue climbers. Unfortunately, Michelle and the others were not found. A Parks spokesperson indicated that the search and rescue efforts would continue, but in a much reduced capacity. We ask that you could continue to lift up Michelle's family and friends during this difficult time. We will spend more time focusing on God's heart for us in times of duress as we gather together for worship on Sunday.
If you wish to hear the backstory, Kris McDaniel, shared it during last Sunday's sermon. You can listen on our sermons page. It is titled, JOHN 11:17-27 | SUNDAY WORSHIP from January 22nd.
Also, several have asked about the possibility of financial donations to help out Michelle's family. At this time, Michelle's family is requesting that any donations be made to the church in her name and then the family will decide how best to use the funds. They would also like to convey that the love and support from Michelle's friends and church community has been overwhelming and a huge blessing to them.
Donation Info: Checks can be made out to Trinity, and mailed in w/ a note attached saying it is for Michelle.
